Seat context — Euroa›
Euroa is a rural district spanning central and north-central Victoria along the Hume Highway corridor from Kilmore to Benalla, taking in Benalla, Euroa, Seymour, Heathcote, Broadford, Kilmore, Violet Town, Nagambie and Rushworth across roughly 11,450 km² and about 49,000 electors. Created in the 2013 redistribution and first contested in 2014, it has been held by the Nationals since its creation — first by Steph Ryan (2014–2022), then by Annabelle Cleeland, who won it in 2022 with a two-candidate-preferred result of 59.9% to Labor's 40.1% (a margin of roughly 19.8 points). For 2026, One Nation confirmed tradesperson and Mansfield RSL historian Steve Campbell as its candidate on 2 September 2026, and the Greens have endorsed Alysia Regan, a Melbourne public servant with a family cattle farm near Taggerty (close to Mansfield) who has previously stood for the Greens in Sandringham (2022 state election), a Bayside council ward (2024) and the federal seat of Indi (2025). As of this research pass, no Labor candidate for Euroa could be confirmed, despite Labor having contested and placed second here in 2022 — worth flagging for a future roll update. Note also: Wikipedia's 'Candidates of the 2026 Victorian state election' page, the source of this batch's original leads, currently mislabels two of these three candidates' parties (listing Regan as Labor and Campbell as Greens); independent sourcing — a Border Mail news report, the Victorian Greens' own state candidates page, One Nation Victoria's own candidates page, and the Australian Election Tracker — all agree Regan is the Greens candidate and Campbell is the One Nation candidate, which is what this dataset uses. The Victorian Socialists' Zoe Lyle is also standing, and The Tally Room lists no Labor or Liberal candidate as of late September 2026.
Background
Platform
Where they stand, issue by issue — grounded in 2026 Victorian polling, not assumed. Every position is tagged with how we know it.

Affordable housing and tenant protections, climate action and environmental protection, queer rights and refugee rights.
"I'm running in Euroa to give confidence to those like me who are outraged at the state of the world."
What Victorians say matters most
5 poll-led issuesCost of living and crime have ranked 1st or 2nd in every Victorian poll since mid‑2025, with debt and housing close behind — see schema §3 for the polling this grouping is based on (DemosAU, Ipsos Issues Monitor, Roy Morgan). The 0-10 'priorityScore' on each candidate's issue entries is NOT a measure of true importance or an independent ranking of what a candidate actually cares about. It reflects how much detail and specificity exists in what that candidate has actually said publicly on that issue -- a named policy mechanism and a verified voting record score higher than a one-line stated priority, regardless of the issue's real-world weight. Render this distinction in the UI wherever the score appears; do not label it just 'Priority' without the qualifier.

Endorsements & Donations
Per the Victorian Electoral Commission's funding guidance (vec.vic.gov.au, accessed 2026-09-29 via search snippets of its independent-candidate and registered-party funding pages), a candidate is eligible for public election funding if they receive at least 4% of first-preference votes in their contest, or are elected. Funding is reimbursed against an audited statement of campaign expenditure, and advance funding must be repaid in full if the threshold is missed.
Lyle has not previously contested an election, so they have no funding entitlement from an earlier contest.
